“Superb Sicilian hospitality”

Difficult to find on sat nav but just follow the well signposted route to Villa Romana through Piazza Armerina and you'll find the B&B as you descend the hill, on your right. Calogero and his family were a delight to meet and the natural farmland makes it easy to ignore the nearby bypass and we were not disturbed at all. The town is a medieval gem to wander around and there are several cosy eateries. Best of all is the communal breakfast feast, shared on our visit with couples from Italy, Holland and France was a real pleasure and 'nonna' presided with obvious pride. The Villa Romana Casale, 5 minutes drive from Giucalem is superb and the proximity permits guests a full 2 hours exploration before the coal borne hoards invade.
