“Great B&B in Piazza Armerina” Situated on the road down to the Villa it's the perfect stopover for those wanting to visit the Villa and Morgantina. Giuseppe and his wonderful mother, Maria treat you like menbers of their own family, and whatever time of the day you arrive there is always someone on hand to welcome you with coffee, cold drinks or fruit salad. All rooms have air-con, are well furnished and comfortable, and there's plenty of parking space (which is a luxury in itself when you try to park in the centre of town) After a long drive from Agrigento, Giucalem is the perfect place to relax before heading out to dinner (da Gianna is a must) The area around Giucalem is well kept and Giuseppe always invites his guests to pick fruit (figs, plums and apricots) from the trees that surround the property. They have a huge vegetable garden. Breakfasts here are wonderful, fresh bread, home made jams, fruit salad, croissants direct from the bakery, cheese and salami and an endless supply of coffee. Mariella ensures everything runs smoothly and makes sure no-one leaves the table hungry. Any negative points... there is a road in the distance, but I've stayed at Giucalem on more than one occasion anfd I've slept perfectly every time. Their English is rather limited,too.... though nothing can take this away from their endless hospitality and kindness. Giucalem is the place to experience real Sicilian hospitality at a good price.
