Valentina Lo famiglia del signor Giuseppe è stata ospitalissima, ci ha fornito un sacco di consigli preziosi. La struttura è immersa nella tranquillità, e le colazioni sono favolose! Peccato aver pernottato una sola notte!

Giuseppina Consiglio vivamente questo B&B per la gentilezza dei proprietari e dei loro figli. Le camere sono tutte molto belle e nel nostro caso, abbiamo potuto scegliere quella che preferivamo. Sono mediamente spaziose, ma comunque comode e molto curate nei dettagli. Decisamente adatte ad una fuga romantica. Il posto è magnifico, immerso nella natura e nella campagna, ma attenti ai navigatori, il nostro ci ha portato completamente fuori strada! Comodissimo per visitare la Villa Romana del Casale, dalla quale dista meno di 10 minuti di auto. Piazza Armerina merita una passeggiata, noi ce la siamo goduta al crepuscolo dalla trattoria Da Gianna, dove abbiamo cenato magnificamente prima di andare alla visita serale della Villa. Colazione indimenticabile a base di macedonia, pane fresco, cornetti e marmellate fatte in casa dalla mitica nonna Maria che la mattina è venuta personalmente a salutare!!!! Ho apprezzato il tavolone unico per tutti gli ospiti, invece che i soliti tavoli staccati, un ottimo modo per socializzare con altre persone. BRAVI!

Accoglienza calda.Siamo stati trattati come dei familiari.Abbiamo scelto la stanza che più ci piaceva.Colazione davvero ricca per essere un BeB.Posto rilassante e silenzioso. Giuseppe e Margherita sono di una simpatia e cortesia unica.

“B&B im Gemüse- und Obstgarten” Wir waren eine Nacht im B&B Giucalem. Buchung per email war kein Problem. Unser Navi hatte ein bisschen Probleme hinzufinden, was vor allem an den verwirrenden und engen Gassen von Piazza Armerina lag. Giucalem liegt schön in mitten von Gemüsefeldern und einem Obstgarten. Die Feigen wachsen fast bis ins Zimmer, so dass man von der Tür aus nur einmal kurz den Arm ausstrecken muss und schon frische Feigen in der Hand hat. Man wird auch von den Herbergseltern fleißig ermutigt, das möglichst oft zu tun. Dementsprechend gibt es zum Frühstück unter anderem auch viel frisches Obst und Gemüse sowie unglaublich gute selbstgemachte Marmeladen. Das Frühstück findet an einem großen Tisch wie bei einer Großfamilie statt, in die man gleich bei der Ankunft herzlich aufgenommen wird. Der Sohn spricht englisch, mit ein bisschen Italienischkenntnissen kommt man aber auch mit dem Rest der Familie gut ins Gespräch. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, geräumig und sauber. Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Die Schnellstraße verläuft zwar nicht weit entfernt, ist aber praktisch nicht zu hören. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es im Hof des großen Anwesens. Mit den Tipps des Herbergsvaters ist man dann auch schnell bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlende Unterkunft!

“Zu Gast bei Freunden” Am Rande der kleinen Stadt Piazza Armerina an der Straße zur Villa Romana del Casale mit beeindrucken Mosaiken liegt die Abzweigung zum B&B Giucalem, daß man über eine enge Schotterstraße, die unser Navi nicht kannte (aber das hatte in Sizielien mit den kleinen Straßen in den Innenstädten eh so seine Probleme) erreicht. Man findet mehrere kleinen Häuschen mit hübschen, einfachen aber freundlich und individuell eingerichteten, sehr sauberen Zimmern mit Bad, die miteinander über einen kleinen Steinplattenweg verbunden sind, an dem man kleine Katzen und Hunde trifft. Rundherum liegen Gemüsefelder, die Obstbäume (Feigen) wachsen buchstäblich vor der Tür. Ernten erlaubt! Die Gastgeberfamilie ist herzlich, der Sohn spricht wohl Englisch (wir haben ihn aber kaum gesehen), aber man versteht auch das langsam-gesprochene Italienisch der Eltern und der Großmutter gut. Man fühlt sich wie ein Familiengast. Dieser Eindruck verstärkt sich beim Frühstück an der großen Tafel, an der alle Gäste Platz finden. Man bekommt unter anderem frisch-geerntete Tomaten mit leckerem Olivenöl und Käse, sowie offensichtlich selbstgemachte Marmeladen (Orangen!!!!!!), frisches Obst, aber natürlich auch Croissants, Brötchen und Müsli. Die Heißgetränke werden nebenan frisch bereitet. Das Auto kann man auf dem Schottervorplatz abstellen. Sehr emnpfehlenswert!

“The best ever!” Wow! This was the best B&B I and my husband had pleasure to stay in over our two weeks in Sicily. Absolutely stunning! Congratulations to Giuseppe and his family for creating this amazing B&B. First of all, on first sight the rooms appear modest, however they are deceptively luxurious with fluffy white towels, beautifully smelling toiletries, freshly pressed and crisp white sheets and a high ceiling. The room was specious and cool and we had the best night’s sleep in it. I loved the surroundings with a beautiful garden full of fruit trees and a vegetable patch. In the morning, we were greeted with distinctive smells of Sicily – a mixture of flowers and fruits. The best bit was the breakfast!!! Absolutely amazing - fresh coffee and different types of teas, fresh fruits, fresh bread, bruschetta with olive oil and delicious sun-dried tomatoes (heaven to taste buds), Sicilian cheese and salami, fresh tomatoes with oregano and olive oil, freshly squeezed juice, delicious home-made jams (the best I have ever eaten!). The variety was just stunning! I left the table with a heavenly feeling of bliss. Giuseppe listened to his guests and offered a spread of foods that are organic, home-grown and most desired. What a treat! This B&B deserves more than 5 stars! It is simply the best! I urge anyone planning to visit Villa Romana Del Casale and Piazza Armerina, to stay in Giucialem B&B as it would make your stay the highlight of Sicily.

“Warm Welcome!” By the time we reached Piazza Armerina we had been travelling for over 20 hours due to unforeseen hitches in our plane connections. As we had not rented a car, we took the bus from Catania to Piazza Armerina, where Giuseppe picked us up, took us back to the B&B, and treated us to a light dinner including wonderful fresh tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. We then proceeded to our room to recover from our jet lag. The room was large, clean and simply furnished. One thing we really appreciated were the bedside reading lamps, not something you always find. Breakfast was delicious - especially Signora Maria's home-made jam (we took a jar of plum jam with us). We chatted over the meal with a very pleasant French couple who were going to visit the Roman Villa and offered us a lift in their car. Otherwise we would have tried to flag down the city bus to the Villa, which passes by the end of the road. Who knows whether it would have stopped! (If you are visiting Piazza Armerina itself, it's a good thing to know that almost everything closes for the afternoon - we were disappointed not to be able to visit the cathedral.) Our thanks to Giuseppe, Signora Maria and family for their great hospitality.

“Une bonne adresse” Cadre campagnard bien situé au pied de la pizza armenina, chambre correcte, vue agréable au vert, une mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner avec des produits frais du jardin (tomates, olive) délicieux !

“Accueil très chaleureux” Après 4 ans nous sommes revenus dans ce joli B&B et étions contents de retrouver cette famille accueillante et chaleureuse. Le petit déjeuner préparé par Maria est un évènement à ne pas manquer. C'est certain, nous allons revenir bientôt.

“...da non perdere a piazza armerina” Ottima ospitalità e ambiente molto confortevole e pulito. Si trova a pochi Km dalla Villa romana del Casale, e alle porte di piazza armerina immerso nel verde di un bel giardino. Personale molto simpatico e accogliente si fa in due per mettere i clienti a proprio agio. Colazione ottima con specialità siciliane prodotte in casa. Peccato essere rimasti un solo giorno!

“Familiare” In questo B&B sembrava di essere in famiglia. La struttura molto bella, confortevole e pulita. Fantastica la colazione con le marmellate di mamma Maria fatte da lei con i frutti del suo orto. Il prezzo molto buono e la posizione ottima anche per andare a visitare la Villa romana del Casale. Sicuramente da consigliare.

“bel posto, ottima colazione” Posto bello e pulito, personale accogliente, disponibile nel dare informazioni, ma il punto forte è la colazione: ottima, tipica e abbondante!!! Posizione ottima per la visita della villa romana....

“ACCOGLIENTE” Dormire con le travi in legno a vista, riscaldati da pompe di calore e termosifoni, rinfocillati la mattina da una colazione dal salato al dolce, orientati sui percorsi turistici e rilassati dal clima accogliente, non possiamo che rimanere particolarmente contenti della scelta!

“Un gradevole pernottamento” Lo consiglio a chi ama la natura, la quiete ed un ambiente agreste e sereno. I mini appartamenti bilocali sono circondati dal verde ed i servizi sono piuttosto confortevoli. La colazione è stata abbondante e preparata anche con i loro prodotti. Mi hanno omaggiato gentilmente una zucca deliziosa e degli ortaggi.

“Gentilezza e tranquillità” Arrivati per la terza volta in Sicilia cercavamo la bellezza dei luoghi e la tranquillità della zona. Qui abbiamo trovato quanto cercavamo oltre la simpatia e l'ospitalità dei gestori e del personale. La vitalità e la simpatia di mamma Maria ci ha coinvolti come le sue squisite marmellate.Grazie per la bella settimana che ci avete fatto passare. Una promessa ci rivedremo. “una sosta indimenticabile” Abbiamo deciso di fare una sosta presso Piazza Armerina solo all'ultimo momento. Dopo aver consultato una nota guida per viaggiatori "con zaino i spalla" abbiamo telefonato per riservare una doppia. L'accoglienza è stata ottima, e preziosi si sono rivelati i consigli su come suddividere le cose da andare a visitare e su dove andare a mangiare del buon pesce. Inoltre la posizione è bellissima, la stanza molto pulita e arredata con stile. Per non parlare della colazione: abbondante e sfiziosa, con prodotti tipici. Insomma quella sosta fuori programma si è rivelata una bellissima tappa, quasi irrinunciabile qualora dovessimo tornare in Sicilia. Federica, Padova
